Scott’s impact at SharkNinja sits at the intersection of deep technical knowledge and strategic foresight. With backgrounds in electrical and systems engineering, alongside patent protection and complex IP litigation, he brings a rare dual lens to the Legal team. Since joining SharkNinja in 2024 as Associate General Counsel, Global IP, Scott has woven those experiences together to support the indoor and outdoor heated product categories while advancing broader intellectual property initiatives across the business.

What does it mean to be Outrageously Extraordinary?
To be Outrageously Extraordinary is to never be satisfied. There is always another question to be asked, a new twist or turn to explore, and a new nugget of information to learn. Big-picture thinking. It is so easy to get caught up in the academic details of a problem that you lose sight of a practical solution. By taking a few steps back and looking at a problem from viewpoints of people who have different perspectives, you start to see more and different pieces of the puzzle that aren’t apparent when your nose is right up against the problem. Thinking about the big picture makes it easier to visualize how those pieces can all fit together in new, impactful ways to help put teams in the best position to win.
Can you share examples of how you live “OE”?
The entire IP Team strives to stay embedded with cross-functional product teams throughout product development and beyond. We’re not just there to approach problems from a pure-IP perspective, but also to understand R&D’s perspective, and Sales’ perspective, and Marketing’s perspective, and so on when we’re collaborating to solve problems. If I’m not recognizing that broader view, then I’m not serving my teams to the fullest.
