Meet Matt!
Originally from Salem, NH, Matt began his career at SharkNinja right out of college after earning his Marketing degree from the University of Rhode Island. Starting as a Product Developer and now serving as Product Development Manager for Ninja’s Espresso category, he has spent the past five years launching new products, expanding into categories and countries, and fueling his passion for bringing Ninja Coffee and Espresso to more consumers.

Outrageously Extraordinary in Action
One of the biggest challenges Matt faced was during the development of our first espresso machine, the Ninja Luxe Café. With a high-end product, he and the team needed to ensure the Out-of-Box Experience was both premium and intuitive—a tall order that required countless iterations, setbacks, and redirections. In the end, Matt helped elevate every detail, from the premium starter kit and 3D immersive app to a thoughtfully crafted consumer journey. The result was one of SharkNinja’s strongest Out-of-Box Experiences to date, raising the bar for future premium products.

What does it mean to be Outrageously Extraordinary (OE)?

What’s your True Edge, or what are you working to build?
I’d say my True Edge lies in the combination of work ethic, integrity, and a strong dedication to SharkNinja’s core pillars. I thrive with an underdog mindset—always pushing to grow and having the hunger to improve both personally and professionally. Over the past five years in the coffee category, this mindset has helped me drive innovation and challenge the status quo as we’ve grown from a small player into a recognized force in the coffee market.
Can you share examples of how you live OE?
In product development, calculated risks and bold decisions are part of the everyday. I live OE by facing tough questions head-on and “ripping the band-aid off”—not just in the workplace but beyond it, too. Asking “why not?” and rejecting stagnation fuels my continuous momentum, and encouraging my peers around me to do the same often leads to something amazing or a valuable lesson learned.
