Lauren’s work is driven by a simple belief: people thrive when they feel a sense of purpose. As SharkNinja’s leader of Early Career Talent Recruiting & Relations for North America, Lauren guides nearly 300 early career hires each year through the Early Edge Experience – a program designed to create space for growth, connection, and discovery. A Massachusetts native, Lauren began her career in higher education at Boston University and Brandeis before building early talent programs at Google and InterSystems.
Outrageously Extraordinary in Action
When Lauren joined SharkNinja in April 2025, she quickly noticed that early talent hires didn’t have structured ways to build community, network, or grow professionally. The challenge was clear, but the timing couldn’t have been tougher. The spring co-op cohort was already in motion, budgets were set, and there was no framework to build from.
Instead of waiting for the perfect moment, Lauren leaned into SharkNinja’s Progress Over Perfection mindset. She mapped out a plan, rallied cross-functional partners, and launched Early Edge, SharkNinja’s first structured development experience for early talent professionals. What began as a quick solution became the foundation for an evolving early career experience that continues to grow stronger each term, giving our co-ops and early talent hires community-building opportunities, networking touchpoints across teams and leaders, and professional development pathways.
From redesigning recruiting systems mid-season to improving tracking tools and mentoring co-op teams, Lauren embodies what it means to be an explorer who learns, adapts, and leads with initiative. Her ability to turn challenges into opportunities continues to shape how SharkNinja attracts, develops, and empowers early talent.

What does it mean to be Outrageously Extraordinary (OE)?
Being Outrageously Extraordinary means never settling. It’s a mindset of stretching beyond what seems possible and helping others rise with you. It’s also what drew me to SharkNinja, since that spirit has always reflected my own approach. That drive has shaped my career, from building early talent programs to helping people find meaningful pathways toward their passions.
True Edge is described as “a key principle of the OE mindset, combining vigilance, innovative insight, and strategic solutions to create a competitive advantage that is exceptionally hard to replicate.”
What’s your True Edge, or what are you working to build?
My True Edge is bringing people together with opportunities and shaping experiences that help them discover potential they might not see at first. I thrive on juggling multiple tasks at once, diving into all the details while keeping the big-picture strategy in mind. I’m good at translating that big-picture strategy into process-oriented steps, using data and best practices while still incorporating the unique touches that make a program stand out.
Can you share examples of how you live OE?
I live “OE” by setting ambitious goals for myself and then pushing beyond them. For example, I started the year aiming to read 40 books, and I’m already at 61—with the year not even over yet! I approach my work and personal growth the same way, constantly challenging myself to go further, learn more, and make an impact even bigger than I initially imagined.
What makes working at SharkNinja special?
There is a contagious energy here that pushes you to be your best self. I’m challenged every single day in ways I find exhilarating, from developing brand-new initiatives to improving existing processes. I love discovering and working with early talent who are so innovative and eager to share their perspectives, especially knowing this is a place where their ideas are valued and they can make a hands-on impact. It’s an exciting community to be part of and a place that has already been incredibly rewarding for me—and I’m only getting started!
