Every SharkNinja innovation starts the same way: with a problem to solve. From there, teams turn consumer insights into ideas and ultimately products that redefine what’s possible in everyday living.
At the 2nd Annual FastForge Hackathon organized by The Possible Zone, high school students in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) worked alongside SharkNinja volunteers to learn how to transform ideas into tangible products. Through our partnership with The Possible Zone, we’re continuing to empower the next generation of innovators to explore purpose driven solutions that have real world impact.
The Possible Zone’s mission is to advance economic equity by ensuring young people develop the entrepreneurial spirit, skills, and networks to launch successful careers. Their mission aligns closely with ours. Together, we strive to empower the next generation to share their ideas and inspire creativity for real-world impact.
More than fifty students participated in The Possible Zone’s hackathon, a mini physical consumer product launch challenge where teams create the next hot consumer product. Students spent the day turning ideas into market-ready products. They brainstormed concepts, developed prototypes, created brand identities, and pitched their innovations to a panel of judges.
The students shared that working with industry experts, including SharkNinja team members, was one of the most exciting and memorable parts of their days. Our volunteers shared their expertise and enthusiasm with the students, guiding their teams as they refined their ideas and brought their concepts to life. SharkNinja volunteers were dedicated to seeing their teams’ succeed by helping experiment with materials to create product models alongside the students.
Our work with The Possible Zone is part of our signature philanthropy program, Innovation for Impact, which focuses on empowering the next generation of innovators. In addition to our work with The Possible Zone, we recently launched the SharkNinja Innovation Challenge, a nationwide competition that invites university students and emerging innovators to pitch solutions to real-world problems.
