Veteran product executive joins to lead product strategy, category direction, and innovation agenda
NEEDHAM, Mass., August 7, 2026 — SharkNinja, Inc. (NYSE: SN), a global product design and technology company, today announced the appointment of Dwayne Benefield as Chief Product Officer. The appointment reflects SharkNinja’s continued expansion across categories globally and its commitment to expanding product leadership to help drive its next chapter of growth. Benefield reports directly to Mark Barrocas, Chief Executive Officer.
In his role, Benefield will lead SharkNinja’s long-term product strategy, category direction, innovation agenda, and multi-year roadmap, helping to define where the company goes next and how it continues to win with consumers. Benefield will work alongside Anthony Marra, who assumes the role of Chief Product Excellence Officer overseeing the quality, reliability, and performance standards across SharkNinja’s product portfolio, to continue driving the company’s innovation pipeline forward.
“At SharkNinja, everything starts with the consumer. Our products have to earn their place in people’s homes. That is how we decide what we build, where we innovate, and how we grow,” said Barrocas. “As our ambitions accelerate and we continue to expand into new categories and regions around the world, Dwayne brings a rare combination of product vision, category creation, and global execution that will further deepen our connection with consumers. I’m excited for what we are going to build together.”
Benefield brings more than two decades of experience building and scaling consumer product portfolios across technology, entertainment, and connectivity. Most recently, he served as Chief Product Officer at TELUS, where he led a team of ~1,400 with end-to-end ownership of a broad consumer portfolio spanning mobility, home internet, smart home, health, and entertainment. During his tenure, he launched multiple industry-first products, including the world’s first device-agnostic smart home platform and the world’s first AI assistant featuring Generative UI.
Prior to TELUS, Benefield served as VP of Entertainment at T-Mobile and over a decade at Sony, where he built North America’s first internet-delivered live TV service, the Emmy Award-winning PlayStation Vue. Earlier in his career, he held strategy and business development roles at Google and The Walt Disney Company, where he helped expand products and global franchises across markets including India, China, Russia, and Latin America.
“What drew me to SharkNinja is the same thing that has driven my career – a passion to build innovative products and services that fundamentally enhance how people experience their daily lives,” said Benefield. “This company has earned an extraordinary level of consumer trust, and I look forward to leading the vision for our next phase of growth.”
Benefield holds a Master of Business Administration from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Accountancy from New Mexico State University.
